Five Branches University is one of the first Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) colleges in the United States, recognized as one of the nation’s top TCM schools providing the highest level of professional education in Traditional Chinese Medicine and integrative medicine in the U.S. and internationally.

The clients had a requirement to rebrand their official website to be made again but with immense modifications, a better UI/UX, improved design functionality, and plugin features. They needed a brand new website for their university that showcased their programs and their content in a presentable way with a better theme and plugin modifications to support and function the additional features of the website plugins.

As per the client’s mentioned requirements, they already had a website for their university with all the data and content regarding their university and with the requirement of a new website, the major challenge that we faced was migrating the database to the new WordPress website flawlessly but retaining the content and data and improving the design functionality of the new website with a better website experience and user experience.

Solutions

Keeping all the requirements of clients and the arising challenges in mind while implementing them, we developed solutions to smoothen the transition of the migration of data from the old website to the new website with our expert WordPress developers. The old website data being dynamic data we migrated it to the new WordPress website with utmost attention that the content and data is compatible and functions smoothly and accurately.

We also enabled the shortcode method to display queries and functions as the old website had queries written directly into code and we managed to improve it and made it function better for the client.

With the usage of a custom theme, we heavily modified the theme while making all the web pages according to the clients with some added design changes and new widgets. We also made drastic changes to the existing plugin used in the old website and made certain modifications in order to work and perform better with the changes made in the new website.
